I might have lost my mind, but I signed up to have a booth at the 2022 Spring Maryland Home & Garden Show in Timonium on March 5 & 6, 11-13th. My daughter and daughter-in-law helped me a lot last Fall at all the craft shows I did, and now, in addition, Emily, the daughter of my cousin Mark Behnke will help me at this show. With winter fast approaching, there's another type of winterizing you can do with your home. Make the indoors your ultimate relaxing space with a reading nook or cozy corner to help you hibernate for the next few months. Make sure you don't leave your house looking worse for wear with some of these holiday decorating tips.
Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors over the age of 62, $3 children ages 6-12, and children under the age of 6 are free. On Friday the 10th only, admission is only $5. Six talented landscapers from all over Minnesota will show off their expertise with inspiring garden displays to get you inspired to create your own backyard oasis. The biggest draw seems to be the mannequin heads. Our nod to floral design, since they are positioned right next to the walkway. Many people stop and admire them and these often entice some of them to come into the booth.
Admission is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors over the age of 62, $3 children ages 6-12, and children under the age of 6 are free. There is also free admission for active military, police & fire employees with ID. As of this posting, you can order tickets online and save $2 on each adult admission.
Home & Garden Show
The theme of the show is “Spring Around the World.” There will be flowers and plants for sale, as well as beautiful garden displays. As usual, there will be over 300 home improvement exhibits. Some say baking is more of a science than an art. But holiday baking doesn't have to be scary - even if you are a first time baker. From taking things slow to double checking your measurements, there are a lot of easy things you can do to increase your chances for success.

With the holidays around the corner, visitors can shop over 125 juried craft artists at the Maryland Fall Craft Show to find a unique gift for a friend, family member, or themselves! Exhibitor List
There will be over 300 home improvement exhibits as well as landscape ideas and landscape architects. There will also be lots of holiday crafts and gifts to purchase. Each spring and fall, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees come together at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium. The March show marks the end of winter and start of spring with beautiful landscaped gardens, home improvement contractors, an orchid show, plants, crafts, and more. The October show takes you into the cooler months with fall gardens, hundreds of home improvement contractors, crafts and holiday gifts and much more. There is something for everyone at both shows, and no two shows are the same.

Stephanie Fleming was raised at Behnke’s Nurseries in Beltsville. Her Mom, Sonja, was one of Albert & Rose Behnke’s four children. She was weeding from the moment she could walk and hiding as soon as she was old enough to run, so many weeds, so little time. Although she quickly learned how to pull out a perennial and get taken off of weed pulling duty.

I do not recall which district was responsible for each, but I do know that Marilyn Potter of District V created the one with the vegetables. In the center of the booth is a standing display that covers information about the historic and about individual club activities. The Fairy Garden will be my big display at this show. At Behnke’s I was the buyer for our fairy garden department. It was so fun getting to pick out all the tiny magical creatures you could add to your garden. Sometimes I think it is left over from my love of dollhouses growing up.
"Up North", a place full of cabins, pine trees, and lakes where people can escape for a little rest and relaxation, and both adults and kids can enjoy the great outdoors. Also an interesting hummingbird feeder for mobs. There was an board to show the benefits of joining a club and sign up sheets to receive more information and to find a club in your area.
